WE Wrote a book!

I can’t believe it…

A note from the author and Mom Who Works Founder and Chief Curator Jenna Worthen:

I literally cannot believe I’m saying this: I wrote a book, a whole book, with more than 55,000 words. But that’s not the entire story. You see, we wrote this book, the shared stories of moms who work helped inspire, craft, guide and direct the words in the pages of this book. I hope you find relief and reinforcement to redefine what it means to be a working mom (in a world without working dads…).

This book is for the mom who works right now and feels like she can’t do it all (because she hasn’t defined what it all is for her.)

This book is for the woman considering motherhood who wants to know more about the intersection of motherhood and careerhood (because she loves her job but also wants to be a mother and can that really work?).

This book is for the mom who used to work outside of the home and is considering returning to the workforce (but dang it, what does that even look like?)

This book is for the person who loves a mom who works and wants to better understand her internal monologue and the external dialogue surrounding working moms (this is really good of you to come here to listen and understand).

Above all, this book is for the mom who needs relief and reinforcements, a reminder that she’s not alone (because we are each on the journey of becoming, remaining and flourishing as moms who work—and we are better together).
